According to the statistics of the General Administration of Customs of PRC, the total import & export volume during Jan. to May 2016 reached USD2.032 bilion, drop by 6.3% year-on-year; trade surplus was USD 1.266 billion, down 8.6% YoY.

During Jan.-May 2016, the pesticide import total volume reached 47,000 tons, an increase of 4.4% YoY, and the import value reached 383 million US dollars, a decrease of 2.2%. The insecticide import total volume reached a total of 6,000 tons, an increase of 19.0% YoY, and imports amounted to 91 million US dollars, up by15.1% YoY; the fungicide imports volume reached 16,000 tons, up 11.1% YoY, while imports value amounted to 154 million US dollars, down 2.4% YoY; the herbicide imports volume reached 15,000 tons, down 5.9% YoY, while imports value amounted to 85 million US dollars, drop 17.9% YoY.

During Jan.-May 2016, the pesticide export total volume reached 614,000 tons, an increase of4.9% YoY, and the export value reached 1.649billion US dollars, a decrease of 7.2%. Whilethe insecticide export volume was 104,000 tons, up 9.9% YoY, export value was 371 million US dollars, down 2.6%; the fungicide export volume was 42,000 tons, up 20.0% YoY, export value was 208 million US dollars, up 6.5%; the herbicide export volume was448,000 tons, up3.0% YoY, export value was 1,02billion US dollars; drop 11.3% YoY.
