At the 3rd Annual Conference on Economic Operation Analysis of Agrochemical Industry & Announcement of Rankings of Agrochemical Enterprises held in Yixing, Jiangsu on May 11, China Crop Protection Industry Association (CCPIA) announced the list of Top 50 Companies in Preparations Sales in the Chinese agrochemical industry in 2016.

On the list of the 2016 Top 50 Companies in Preparations Sales, Noposion topped for the fifth time with a revenue of 1.899 billion yuan. Rotam and Guangxi Tianyuan took the second and third places with a revenue of 1.543 billion yuan and 1.031 billion yuan respectively.

This year the number of companies on the list has been increased from 30 to 50. The total sales revenue of the companies on the list is 18.142 billion yuan and the threshold is 100 million yuan. The threshold of the top 30 companies is 189 million yuan and their total sales revenue is 15.526 billion yuan, a significant increase from last year.

In terms of sales revenue structure, compared to the top 30 companies last year, the number of companies with a total revenue of over one billion yuan is three this year, one less than that last year. However, the performance of most companies is better than last year and has improved significantly, which indicates that the Chinese preparations industry is becoming stronger, the role of the companies is gradually changing from technical suppliers to brand builders and the industry structure adjustment is producing effects.
